Project Oscillon is aimed at students with an interest in robotics, human-robot interaction, tech-art, and human connection. There are no specific requirements regarding the year of study, and non-students are also welcome to join teams.
No, you do not need to have a team to participate. You can register as an individual, and if possible, we will help create teams from solo applications.
No prior experience in robotics or art is required to participate in Project Oscillon. We encourage individuals from all backgrounds to join, as we believe that diverse perspectives lead to the most innovative ideas. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, there’s a place for you in the project.
Absolutely! We encourage teams to consist of members from diverse backgrounds. Teams that bring together different perspectives—whether from engineering, art, design, or social sciences—tend to create the most innovative and well-rounded projects. We do require every team to have at least one student of the MSc Robotics TU Delft.
Yes, there are a few mandatory moments throughout the project. For the big finale event we require all teams to be represented. For the workshops you can select the ones that are of interest to your and your project, these are non-mandatory. If you can not attend a mandatory moment for a good reason, please shoot us a private message so we can work on a solution.
In principle the submission is open to whatever you and your team create within the theme of "Human Connection through Technology". Your creativity will have full freedom to flow and come up with unexpected answers.
However, we do expect there to be a technical component to the work.
We have a Discord channel, which we will use as our main communication channel.
